THE CASE OF VALENTIN MOISEYEV

Trial chronicle, 02/20/2001

The interrogation of FSB employee M, whose evidence can be described as "the more time passes, the more can be recollected". He tried to bring into a line some points of the documents, to mislead the court by discussing the specific character of the counter-intelligent work based on his own experience as if he had been the only counter-intelligence official participating in the proceedings.

Comment of defense counsels Iu.Gervis and A.Yablokov

The defense consider that FSB will try to fabricate additional proofs by "finding" some notes, signatures, etc. allegedly made by Cho Son U. The unit of public prosecutor and the witness is obvious as well as the fact that the proceedings has been rehearsed beforehand. So, the witness has taken a magnifying glass to the court, which accidentally became necessary for reading of the low quality X-copies of the case materials.
